Thomas Mayfield, J.D., was born and raised in Shreveport, graduating from Loyola College Prep.  Then receiving his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi where he was a member of their Pre-Law Society. His interest in the law led him to the Mississippi College School of Law, where he graduated in 2017 and was a member of the Business Law Society, the Civil Law Society, and the Oil and Gas Society.  In his last year of law school Thomas received the Mississippi Municipal League Attorneys’ Division Award, largely for his work in various classes that centered around Governmental involvement in Real Estate and Economic Development.

Thomas’s family has been involved in real estate in the past and he has therefore always had an interest in combining this upbringing with his legal education. At Mayfield Title, Thomas enjoys providing a wide range of legal services, which include but are not limited to residential and commercial real estate closings, real estate contracts, successions, civil litigation, zoning matters, and more. Thomas previously worked with the Caddo Parish Public Defenders Office for roughly two years gaining trial experience and winning his first-ever jury trial. 

Thomas is a member of the Shreveport Bar Association and serves as President of the Young Lawyers section.

In his discretionary time, Thomas enjoys playing golf, being outside, and working on projects such as home improvement, projects, and restoring vintage vehicles.
